That's a picture of the street we parked our car on. As you can see, some of the trees fell over thanks to yesterday's blizzard. But that was the least of our worries, as we were notified that a transformer went down at 1PM. The electricity wasn't restored until around 4AM!
We didn't have ANY HEAT. It was one of the worst experiences we've had so far here in MA. We went grocery shopping the night before to stock up on food before the storm, so we had to put our perishables out on our porch so they wouldn't go bad.
We survived on 4 candles and 3 layers of clothing; I haven't showered (yuck), and feel pretty gross. Jose ate fruits and nuts for dinner, and a can of sardines (eww! :P). I was able to order food (thankfully!). Gonna go shower... I could really use some sunshine right about now; maybe I should invest in one of those happy lights?

I bet you're happy this is your last winter in the Northeast. We got snow, but only 8 inches. It was beautiful yesterday morning looking out the window, but driving to the train station to go to work was a different story. James has an interview for the job in Phoenix tomorrow morning. I'm crossing my fingers this will be our last winter here too! Nicki
