Might be a slow process after all

Looks like we're going to have an uneventful plane ride to Texas this Thursday after all :). Jose and I can breathe a sigh of relief now that we know I haven't started dilating yet. Still, at 36 weeks, her head is at -1 station, she's head-down, and I'm 50% effaced. Things are a'changin', slowly but surely. Well, maybe I shouldn't say that. The pregnant body is very unpredictable; every pregnancy is so different, as is every individual. Who knows when this little girl will decide to grace us with her presence. Hopefully it won't be when Jose has to come back to Boston for his finals when I'm 38.5 weeks :/. Right now, that is my only real concern...but even then, it's not the end of the world. I've had to get used to the idea. It wasn't easy at first, but I really couldn't ask for things to be better as far as the health of the baby and myself go. :) More updates later...

Sounds like my 2nd. I was so convinced she would be early. Sure enough a week past due date and I'm still waddling. Then when she was coming, no one (not even me) believed it. They told me that I would probably be sent home but I should try walking it out. I was wondering the halls of the hospital and barely made it back to the room. Babies have their own ways of entering this world. Can't wait to hear how she decides to make her debut. New life is so fun!

Hi Sarah :)

I think you are so right about expecting the unexpected. I've been psyching myself up reading birth stories and it seems like that's exactly what happens every time! I think I just need to sit back, relax (while I still can), and just enjoy these last few weeks. I will miss this little wiggle worm in my belly :D.

When I saw your post in my google reader I thought for a second you were in labor if you had posted so quickly. I have been praying for you to make it to Tx and now I will pray for Jose to be there. Thinking about you today and tomorrow and hoping the move goes smoothly!
